On Wednesday, 18 February 2026, Marmara TÖMER took part in the Balkan Culture Day program organized in collaboration with Marmara Genç Ofis and the Vefa Atlası Association.

The program commenced with the opening address delivered by the Director of our Center, Dr. Özlem Turan. Following the opening remarks, our students presented an engaging and visually enriched introduction to various Balkan countries. The presentation was complemented by an interactive Kahoot quiz, through which guests had the opportunity to test their knowledge in an enjoyable and dynamic format.

The event continued with a theatrical performance entitled “Theatre of Brotherhood,” prepared and performed by our students. The performance received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience. It was followed by a concert by the Marmara TÖMER Choir, composed of both current and former students. The choir performed the traditional pieces “Drama Bridge” and “Vardar Plain,” highlighting the shared cultural heritage of the Balkans.

Accompanied by the folk dance team, our students later participated in traditional Balkan dances, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere. The program concluded with refreshments featuring a selection of traditional Balkan delicacies and visits to stands displaying cultural items and traditional attire from Balkan countries.
